Contracts Support Role

At Perrem Design Hardware we are a team of specialists specifying and supplying door and window hardware including SMART access control and automatic door opening systems. Previous experience in architectural ironmongery an advantage but not necessary. Full technical and computer training provided with an opportunity to gain an industry diploma (Dip GAI) qualification and develop an interesting career path in the construction industry.

Responsibilities will include

  • Support the Contracts Team in the servicing of orders from customers
  • Co-ordinate with main contractors and sub-contractors on site regarding deliveries
  • Provide the best possible service to and sustain relationships with existing and new clients
  • Liaise with the contracts & service team and suppliers in respect of purchase orders to ensure timely deliveries
  • Coordinate delivery of hardware to site for installation by PDH or by others
  • General Stores & Stock Control duties including
    • Follow stock control procedures to ensure good stock management
    • Conducting weekly / daily stock checks
    • Verify and book stock allocations, track stock
    • Support Contracts Manager in organising stock takes
    • General administration of warehouse
  • Pick and despatch orders
  • Check in deliveries on site as required
  • Coordination of couriers and freight companies on incoming and outgoing goods
  • Coordinate with Contracts Manager in respect of project installations
  • Trade Counter support where required
  • Any other issues related to the above which may arise in the normal course of business

Experience / Skills

  • Excellent organisational & time management skills and ability to work on own initiative
  • Team player with good communication and inter-personal skills
  • Commercial awareness, negotiation and analytical aptitude
  • Technical interest and aptitude
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite & CRM
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Full clean Driver's Licence preferable but not essential
